BOBBI BROWN TINTED EYE BRIGHTENER
Friday, 18 July 2014
I'm sure I have mentioned more than enough times but I have serious under eye woes, and whether I sleep for 1 hour or 12 hours they are always a bit dark and with puffy bags and I have tried my fair share of concealers, brighteners and more in an attempt to banish them and although I still haven't found the perfect product, this comes pretty close.
I have the shade Porcelain which is actually a bit light for me, but seems to enhance the brightening effect even further. It is quite a light consistency, making it ideal for under the eyes and I have never found this to crease of me at all so huge points there. It blends seamlessly and just seems to lighten up the under eye area with such ease.
I think when buying this you have to bear in mind that this is a 'tinted' product, it isn't designed to work like the heavy duty corrector, but certainly doesn't go unnoticed when you use it - it has become an essential part of my daily makeup routine. Not everything is covered but sometimes using something a little more correcting with this over the top is a nice idea, or just this alone when you are looking for a more fresh faced look.
I picked this up in a CCO for £13.75 which was an amazing price, but I probably wouldn't have an issue with repurchasing at the full price of £20. I do really like the Kiko Natural Concealer but this is a nice high end alternative and if you want to try something without buying the full on corrector if you under eyes aren't such a huge issue (or even if they are, like mine), I really recommend this.
If you have tried any holy grail status under eye products, let me know as I am always open for adding a few more to the makeup bag...

THE EYE PRIMER PARTY
Tuesday, 18 March 2014
As much as I don't get along with many face primers, not a day goes by without me using an eye primer. No-one likes a creased eye look, nor a liner wing that's halfway down the lashline.I have 4 in my collection, all of which I find work for different things.
My favourite of the bunch is the Avon Eye Shadow Primer in Light Beige which is slightly tinted so it colour corrects the eye and mattifies (without drying whatsoever) the entire lid and preps it for anything you are putting on top - shadow, cream products, or just liner. It's great.
The next offering is the MUA Pro Base Eye Primer, which was actually my very first post on this blog. I raved about it then, and although this is still great and extremely budget based, I feel like the Avon one just beats it for me. But, this one still does the job well and if I didn't have the Avon one in my life I would still be using this daily.
When I am doing a dramatic eye, or anything involving a touch of colour, I reach for the Dainty Doll Frankie Girl Eye Base as it is so pale that it totally blanks out the lid with a creamy coloured layer, which makes any colour stand out more and mattifies so there is no creasing.
Finally, the Smashbox Photo Finish Lid Primer (mini) has been in my collection for a short while now. I did rave about this originally, but the last time I used this I had a bit of creasing going on. I'm hoping it was a one off because I really liked this one beforehand.
What are your favourite eye primers?
A BELATED AUTUMNAL SMOKEY
Friday, 31 January 2014
There are a number of bandwagons in the blogging world - most of which I jump onto a good few months late, including the red/burgundy autumnal smokey eye, but I thought it deserves a post anyway.
You are probably all screaming at your screens waiting for me to quit the rambling and get on with explaining what products I used, so I'll do it now. I began by priming the lid with the Smashbox Photo Finish Lid Primer, which is my new favourite primer, and I followed that up with MAC Bare Study Paint Pot all over the lid. I used my trusty MUA Undressed Palette and used Shade 2 all over the lid, followed by Shade 9 on the outer half and along the lower lashline. I then took the Kiko Eyeshadow in 137 through the crease and blended it thoroughly and then went in with 133 to deepen it up slightly.
Finally, I finished off with Soap and Glory Thick & Fast Mascara and the look was complete.
I may be late on this, but I will continue to go for the winter looks until I see a ray of sunshine through the clouds and I personally declare it Spring.

Rimmel GlamEyes Single Eyeshadow - Backstage
Monday, 11 March 2013
Hi everyone!
I am going to try and get 2 posts up today, so this is the first!
This is a shadow that I think I managed to find either in a pound shop or in a sale.
It is by Rimmel, and I love their shadows. This one is really buttery soft and it's a gorgeous colour. It's a gorgeous medium brownish taupe colour with champagne shimmer through it, just a small bit lighter than the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze, so if your eyelids are oily, this would be a great product to set that cream shadow.
This shadow is super pigmented. On the swatch I have only sweeped my finger over the pan once or twice. The quality is great! These shadows are long lasting, and very blendable. I love this!
I need to start wearing this shadow more, finding this in my collection and posting about it now has made me really want to start buying some more Rimmel shadows. I did actually have my eye on one quite similar to this!
Do you have any re-discovered shadows in your collection?
Leave a comment, and don't forget to follow!
Thanks for reading, come again very soon!

MUA Pro-Base Eye Primer (Review)
Monday, 4 March 2013
Hi there!
Today I will be posting about an eye primer by the brand MUA (Make Up Academy), a brand that is in Superdrug only and became famous for their line of £1 makeup, and over time they have came out with another range which ranges from £2-£6.
They released this eye primer recently I think, but I believe it was a re-promotion of their old primer. This retails for £2, which is not bad at all, and this is one of the few drugstore eye primers I have seen!
This primer creates a sticky base for your eyeshadow, and I think that it provides a longer wearing time for your shadow.

Product Shot - MUA Pro-Base Eye Primer |
This eye primer is a pale natural colour, and doesn't really have a scent. I'm not complaining about that, as their old one used to smell of hamsters?! :)
Overall, a great product, and definately worth investing in if you don't want to invest in a high end primer at the moment, or if your is run out and you need to save your pennies for a few weeks to repurchase.
Thanks for reading, don't forget to follow, and comment with your requests!:)
