BALANCE ME RADIANCE FACE OIL

I have always been interested in facial oils, but they either seem to be out of my price range, have things like mineral oil in them, or just don't stand out to me. That was until I received the Balance Me Radiance Face Oil* a week or two back, and I think it's love.

This is one of those products that is hyped and coveted by multiple bloggers (as is a Pai offering), and I genuinely wanted to see what the fuss was about, and honestly - I really get it. First thing first, this mini 10ml rollerball style packaging is not only great for travelling and means for easy application, it is adorable too.

Just a few drops covers the face entirely, which is a huge plus - (I tend to run the rollerball over my fingertips and then pat it onto my face). It smells very natural, perhaps due to its '100% natural origin'. It sits on the skin for a little while, but don't be alarmed - it isn't heavy in the slightest and soaks in leaving plumped skin. Even when you first put it on it just seems to look radiant.

Since using this, I definitely feel like my skin looks healthier and actually a few of my pesky scarring marks from previous breakouts (and when I say previous, I mean from a while ago and I had given up hope of getting rid of to be fair), have actually faded quite substantially. I like to use this regularly in a light application under my night cream, and then maybe once a week I go in a little heavier for an intense moisture boost sans the moisturiser.

Honestly, I think once this rollerball is done with I may have to go and get myself a full size...

GETTING INTO GLOSSES

I have never been a gloss kind of girl, I prefer lipsticks all the way. But, recently layering a gloss on top of a matte lipstick, or even alone is becoming my new thing and I am loving it, and apparently the ones I have been liking come in pairs in my collection.

The first duo are from the Tanya Burr Lips and Nails collection which is really exciting. I have Afternoon Tea* and Champagne Toast*, a bubblegum pink and an orange-y shimmery nude. For me, none of these two colours suit me alone, but I have realised that putting them both on makes for the perfect shade.

I also have been really enjoying the Revlon ColourBurst Lip Glosses, in Crystal Water and Bellini. Crystal Water is a clear gloss with almost duo-chome shimmer particles that sometimes look blue, other times purple. Over a fuchsia pink lipstick this looks awesome. Bellini is a milky peach gloss, which over my MAC Faux Lipstick looks lush.

I also have been enjoying the GOSH Volume Shine offerings, in 04 and 07. 04 is the red, which I like to wear alone on the lips as a muted red with a slight orange tint to it in some lights. 07 is a brownish plum, which when in the tube I didn't think I would like, but on the lips (especially over nudes) it is a really nice colour.

Today marks the day in which I will be putting up an outfit post and what should be an ongoing theme most weekends if you enjoy this one (let me know in the comments).
I am a lover of monochrome and so putting this outfit together was no chore, and I feel like the Next Plain/Flannel shirt really made the outfit come together - so a thanks to Megan for letting me borrow hers, I am not on the hunt for one of my own.

The chunky sandals with the turned up disco pants seem to add a bit more 'glam' if you will to the casual upper half of the outfit, and I honestly think the balance is just right with this outfit.

Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire Couture EDP: 'A new long dress sewn with fresh floral notes and top-stitched with glamorous woody notes'. I really like this one actually, its floral but not overpowering, most likely due to that slight muskiness. 30ml - £43.50

Givenchy Very Irresistible L'eau en Rose EDT: 'Floral Musk. Vivacious and soft like a frosted rose' This is more fruity than floral in my opinion, and smells like something I have tried before but I can't put my finger on it. 50ml - £51.99

Eau de Lacoste Sensualle EDP: 'The spirit of Lacoste in a sensual fragrance that captures the natural intensity of soft floral notes'. They seem to be going along with the floral theme here, and this definitely is the most floral smelling of the bunch (excuse the pun). 30ml - £32.50

Thierry Mugler Alien Eau Extraordinaire EDT: 'Enhance your sensuality with the luminous freshness of Alien Eau Extraordinaire.' I really like this one, and it's perhaps my favourite of the bunch. This smells like something from lush with something else mixed in (great descriptions going down here). 60ml Refillable - £49.50

Elie Saab Le Parfum L'Eau Couture EDP: 'A fresh new scent that radiates the very best of couture'. This one really is fresh, and reminds me of a Juicy Couture fragrance my mum has hidden away somewhere.

I am no good at describing scents for women, so I am in no way going to attempt describing the men's scents. But, they are Solo Loewe Sport - 75ml £59.99 and Valentino Uomo - 50ml £44.99.

So now, I have a lovely array of handbag (or even school shirt pocket) friendly perfumes and another handy box for storage...

BOURJOIS BRONZING PRIMER

BOURJOIS BRONZING PRIMER £9.99

It's pretty rare that I will buy a product on a whim, fall in love with it and then review it within 2 weeks, but just that is happening right now with the Bourjois Bronzing Primer.

I don't actually use this as a full on face primer on a daily basis (but occasionally when I am feeling extra pasty it's always an option), but I prefer to focus it on my cheeks, temples, neck, and hairline (basically where you would generally apply a powder bronzer) either over or under my base product, and it just seems to look so natural and seamless.

When I wear this, I genuinely can't tell that I have anything on, despite the fact that you can see I am slightly bronzed -  it just looks and feel like my actual skin. I was thinking that the texture would be very silicone based, but it's actually not like that. It seems to be a soft, gel-like mousse in the pan, and that kind of works into the skin as well. It just seems to glow from my cheeks, and I have had people *cough* Megan, asking me what bronzer I was wearing whilst sporting this.

I have used this every day since I got it, and considering that I had just fallen for the Soap & Glory Solar Powder Bronzer, this stuff must be good.

For just under a tenner, this is seriously something I recommend going for if you want a little splurge in Boots.
