NEW LOOK, NEW START?

You may notice things are looking a little different here on what used to be known as 'The Beau Bow'. For a long time I wanted to tidy things up and get my own domain and finally get my blog how I wanted it, and this weekend was how things kicked off. I will now be known as 'Petite December', on www.petitedecember.co.uk, so I thought I'd do a little intro on what you can expect to see around these parts in the future.

Why the name change?
To be honest, I was getting a little tired of my old name, and I wanted something a little more unique. I am pretty small, hence the 'petite' and I was born in, you guessed it, 'December'. I think its pretty cool and a lot could be done with it banner-wise.

What will you be posting?
I had a strong routine of posting every other day for a solid 6 months or so, but I realised as my time to blog got cut shorter with school work, the quality of the posts was dropping quite dramatically. So, I will probably post 2-3 times a week balancing out beauty with fashion more or less and hopefully the pictures and content in general will be of a higher standard.

I hope you appreciate it might take me a week or so to get to grips with things and perfecting the layout may even take me a couple of months, so bear with the changes if you see any. If any of you know how I can change the URL on my bloglovin' account so I don't have to loose all my followers by claiming the new domain, that'd be very helpful too.

NEW LAYOUT

 After blogging on this blog for a few months, and constantly faffing around here and there with widgets, banners, and sidebars, I realised I was just not happy with my blog layout- and I wasn't prepared to spend the money I didn't even have on a full blown fancy layout.  

I had been following a lovely blogger who creates blog designs for a while now, and they had just released a free simple blog template download, so I was right on it, and I have that all here for your eyes to see. I am hoping I can spend more time on quality posts rather than juggling that with tinkering with the layout. I love the simplicity of this layout, but it also adds a nice pop of colour to the layout. I am a little obsessed.

I'm hoping this will encourage me to think up amazing ideas, and really get into detail with my (admittedly at the moment rather slacking) blog posts.

   

It is always good to keep your eyes peeled in the blogging world, because you never know what you might stumble upon!

New Layout + Logo?

Hi guys! If you are a frequent reader of my blog, you may or may not have noticed, that my layout and logo has changed! I have spent yesterday and this morning tweaking with things on the layout, to make it look more professional, and I am really pleased with the effect!

I wanted a simple logo, as I was so used to having one with the coloured background. The white is more easy on the eye, which I like.

I also have made most of the things on my blog a browny/'sepia' effect, which normally I would avoid, but I wanted by blog to be neutral, so it would compliment the pictures on my posts.

Let me know what you think of all this new layout and logo stuff on my blog, what you have seen before, was only temporary until I finally found something I liked - and I think I found it!

Anything that changes on my blog from now on, will be only minor little tweaks, nothing that will make a huge difference.
