AUSSIE DO SHOWER GELS

I've always loved the Aussie hair range; from the punny labels to the scents of the products, so when I found out that they were bringing out a range of shower gels/body washes I was over the moon. I chose the Shower Smoothie version, that literally smells like the bubblegum-ish shampoo, but still fresh and not sickly by any means. There's another 3 in the line I believe, and I hope to make my way through them all, but I chose this one for it's debut in my shower.

What I like is how well this lathers, as I need a small amount and there are endless bubbles. It's also pretty nourishing on the skin, and doesn't leave the skin feeling tight like some intense shower gels cam, but of course you still feel fresh and clean after using it. The moisture is probably thanks to the Macadamia Nut Oil, and each scent has a different addition to it, from Ginseng to Jojoba Oil. You can also purchase these in 2 sizes, and I've seen quite a few offers on since they launched, so definitely worth having a look.

I'm certainly not disappointed, and I'm looking forward to seeing where Aussie branch out to next.

THE ANNUAL LUSH STOCK UP

I don't often go to Lush, mainly because there isn't a local one for me, and also because sometimes I simply can't justify £4 odd for a one use bath bomb, which is why I tend to stick to the multi-use bubble bars once the Boxing Day sales come around. This year me and my family endured the sales on the 27th and there was still plenty of Lush smelling goodness left over, and all this stuff cost me a mere £8.21 of Christmas money.

The first thing I found was one I haven't used, the Snowman FUN - a blatant novelty interpretation of the regular FUN that can be used as bubbles, a shower gel alternative, and also as shampoo. I tried FUN last year and this big chunk only cost £2.50 so I thought I'd give it a go. It's fruity sweet scent makes me love this even more. Will I be sculpting a snowman family on the side of the bath? We'll see.

So White was the only bath 'ballistic' I could justify, simply because it's my all time favourite. The crisp apple scent makes my heart skip a beat and it is always exciting to watch this one unveil its pink tint in the depths of my bath water.

A more nourishing alternative is the Melting Snowman - a slightly spicy, cinnamon bath melt that not only looks adorable (despite the lacking carrot nose) but also leaves the skin feeling soft, and the comforting warm aroma of this makes it perfect for the evening relaxation in the colder days. This one was rather cheap, coming in at about £1.20.

Another repurchase from previous years is the Christmas Eve Bubble Bar. This smells rather basic; think soap with added sophistication of ylang ylang and jasmine, making it the perfect remedy for a good nights sleep.  For £1.48 I couldn't resist.

Finally, a personal favourite although not to everyone's taste - Candy Mountain Bubble Bar. This is the one I always set out with the intention to buy; not only is it pretty to look at but personally I cannot resist the sweet, sugary candy floss bubbly scent, and for something short of £1.50 I probably should have picked up another, as I do think the Bubble Bars have the best value, and this one is a bit of a guilty pleasure.

I look forward to my upcoming weeks/months of bathing in the evenings and I might even crack one out tonight...

BATH AND BODY WORKS POCKETBAC

I has a bit of an obsession with hand gel about half a year ago, and to be fair I kind of got bored with my endless stock of Cuticura Passion Flower and Mango. When I was in Bath & Body works I was overwhelmed with the vast selection of fragrances of their PocketBac and I couldn't resist picking up a few.

My personal favourite is Island Margarita, it smells incredible and fresh. I don't actually know what Margarita's smell like, but, it is what I imagine. Fresh, clean and subtly zesty and tangy. Sweet Pea is basically (as the names suggests) a very sweet fruity-floral scent. Caribbean Escape smells fresh but also with a hint of coconut - the typical holiday scent in a hand gel.

The reason I like these so much is that they keep you germ free but don't smell too chemical like other bog standard hand gels, they smell divine so I basically slap these on as regularly as I can. I wish I had got more if I knew they'd be so darn good, I probably would have ended up with drawers full.

VICTORIA'S SECRET SHEER LOVE FRAGRANCE

Victoria's Secret isn't all that accessible here in the UK, with a few stores scattered around the country, and if you are miles away from one like me, airports are your best bet. Seeing as I am not going to the airport until a years time, I didn't buy this myself, my lovely friend Megan got me the Sheer Love Eau De Toilette when she went on holiday.

Starting packaging, I may have fell in love when I saw this. In a simplistic, cylindrical bottle, with a gold lid, and the name and brand added in gold, alongside a cute bow, and the slight tint of pink in the liquid as well, Victoria's Secret may have ticked all the boxes for me. 

We all know I suck at describing scents, but I'll give it a whirl. Akin to the packaging, it is quite a girly scent. It is floral, fresh, and slightly fruity, with a little musk to even it out, and I would be perfectly happy wearing this all year round - it is quite a versatile scent I think. Great description from Lauren. It is pretty long lasting too, a good few hours before the scent either drifts away or I get used to it. 

I am suddenly into frangrance, and clothes, and I haven't been going over the top with makeup at the moment, but it'll probably be a phase, so enjoy it while it lasts...
