BATH AND BODY WORKS POCKETBAC

I has a bit of an obsession with hand gel about half a year ago, and to be fair I kind of got bored with my endless stock of Cuticura Passion Flower and Mango. When I was in Bath & Body works I was overwhelmed with the vast selection of fragrances of their PocketBac and I couldn't resist picking up a few.

My personal favourite is Island Margarita, it smells incredible and fresh. I don't actually know what Margarita's smell like, but, it is what I imagine. Fresh, clean and subtly zesty and tangy. Sweet Pea is basically (as the names suggests) a very sweet fruity-floral scent. Caribbean Escape smells fresh but also with a hint of coconut - the typical holiday scent in a hand gel.

The reason I like these so much is that they keep you germ free but don't smell too chemical like other bog standard hand gels, they smell divine so I basically slap these on as regularly as I can. I wish I had got more if I knew they'd be so darn good, I probably would have ended up with drawers full.

AN ODE TO SOAP AND GLORY

When it comes to pampering, Lush and Soap & Glory are my favourite brands to amp up the bath treats, and today I thought I would share some of my favourites from the 'original' line... I'm not sure that's correct, but what I mean is the products that share the typical Soap & Glory scent.

One that everyone and their mother adores is the Hand Food hand cream. This is a firm favourite for me too, a little goes a long way, its nourishing, and yet sinks in really quickly so no greasy hands here. I could tell how much of a cult this was when I saw people grabbing multiple of this and the hand wash duo in the Boxing Day sales - it must be a good'un.

The Righteous Butter currently sits at the top of the list when it comes to an evening body butter. In the same breath as the Hand Food, it is quick to sink in, leaves my limbs feeling baby soft, and what I like is that the smell stays with you for a while after application. My mum really likes the smell of this one too, so perhaps I'll persuade her to buy one for herself.

I have been more into scrubs at the moment, and after reaching for this one whilst in the bath the other day, I rekindled my love for The Scrub Of Your Life. I think somehow I love the novelty of how darn thick the consistency of this is (I am a child at heart), but honestly, it really gets any dryness off without feeling irritating or sore.

Finally, is the Clean On Me shower gel. I think this was the first thing I ever fell in love with from the brand a coupe of birthdays ago, when I bought a mini of it and ended up savouring the stuff. It foams well, leaves you feeling clean, and smells incredible - what more could you want?

Soap & Glory, you do serve me well...

BOXING DAY SALES HAUL | BEAUTY

For the first year, I got up slightly earlier in order to make my way to the local town centre to grab some beauty bargains (the Boots half price sale was where I was headed first, of course). I got a few bargains, as well as some great fashion and clothing bargains, so if you were interested, let me know in the comments if you would be interested in seeing a post on those bits. 

The first item I got in Boots was the Soap and Glory Once Upon A Lime gift set, which was halfprice from £18 to £9, which is a bit of a bargain, considering you get a full sized Sugar Crush Body Buttercream, a mini of the Sugar Crush Body Scrub and also a half size of the Sugar Crush Body Wash, along with a shower puff, coming in at a value of around £19.75 so even at full price the value was there.

Also from Boots, I got the Toni & Guy Matthew Williamson for Toni&Guy Hair Meet Wardrobe set, which was £6, containing what I would say are deluxe travel sized/mini products, one being the Prep Heat Protection Mist, another the Cleanse Dry Shampoo, and the last being the Creative Firm Hold Hairspray and the packaging and bag are just gorgeous. 

Finally, I got this Charlie Set which has 2 body sprays, and a Revlon Girly Nail Polish which I have been wanting to try for ages, and the set totalled in at £4, which is 2p over half the price of the polish alone, so another bargain there. 

Moving onto Lush. I got 3 induvidual products (well, 5, but 2 of them were for Megan), and a boxed set containing 3 more products. The Snow Fairy Box Set was £6.25, which included a 100g Snow Fairy Shower Gel, a Shimmy Shimmy Shimmer Bar and a 70g Angels Delight Soap all of which smell incredible. 

I got the Shoot For The Stars Bath Ballistic (x2), which smells like fresh, uplifting citrus, and I cannot wait to plonk this in my bath. I can't quite remember the price, but it was 50% off in the sale, so was most probably a bargain. The other which I got 2 of was the Christmas Eve Bubble Bar which is a calming, slightly floral (I would like to say subtle lavender), which is going to be something I use a lot at night to relax. Finally, the Melting Snowman Bath Melt made it's way into the basket, and is a creamy, slightly spicy and cinnamon scented melt, and I cannot wait to use this one also. All 5 individual products, and the box set came in at £13.35 which is bargainous. 

 

LUSH FUN CHRISTMAS GIFT SET

As Megan handed me my birthday and Christmas presents last weekend, I could almost smell the goodness coming from inside the gift bag. I opened (a very well wrapped) box, and was beaming when I saw that it was this gift set of mini FUN products from Lush. 

So, FUN can be used for anything, you can use it as a bubble bar esc. product, you can wash your hair with the stuff, or wash yourself with it like a chunk of soap, or even wash your clothes with the stuff. You can make things even more fun if you choose to mold it into shapes, and then use them in the bathroom. 

In the set, you get 3 mini pieces of FUN; green, red and gold. 

I'll start with the Green FUN, which smells extremely fresh, and lemon and lime scented. I just love this one and in the mornings for a good pick-me-up this could wake you up right away. Yummy. 

The Red FUN also is very fresh, and is also following the citrus route. This time though, this chunk has taken a rather zesty approach; slightly scented of oranges, so even more festive.

Finally, this is the Gold FUN. This is the limited edition one for the festive season, which is a down-side, as this could be my favourite of the trio. This one is such a comforting scent, slightly milky, creamy, sweet, and with a hint of honey which just is delicious. Rumor has it, this smells like the Honey I washed the Kids soap, and so that could be my next purchase if can't track down another one of these.

This is such a great gift set, and I seriously hope this makes it's way into the Boxing Day sales, and it'll be in my basket and on the way to my house in no time, as I can't get enough of FUN right now. 

 

Lush Haul

Hi guys! Sorry I haven't posted in a few days, I was lucky enough to go to the Graduate Fashion week on Tuesday, and then for the past few days I have had a relax and basically just been searching up on Google some of the models I saw there, haha. So, I love Lush. When I went the other week, I had to stop myself from buying the entire store, and I sort of did ok. I came away with 3 things which I am very excited to use. 

The first thing I got was the Blackberry Bath Bomb. I am pretty sure I smelled this at Christmas and it reminded me of blackcurrant squash, (just like the comforter did) but now they both smell a lot more subtle, and this one is even almost a little sherbet-like. 

I also repurchased the Creamy Candy Bubble Bar, which didn't have a flower on it. But I really love bubble baths, and this makes a lot of bubbles, even when you only use a quarter or so. It smells like sweets/candy and I love it. The white bits in the bubble bar are very moisturising and I guessed that they were bits of bath melt, to make it soft.

You can only deal with blemished skin for so long. I decided it was time to take some action on the skin I am not very happy with, and although I haven't noticed a massive difference yet, it's only been a week. I will say that it has worked as a preventative though. It really refreshes the skin and if you wanted you could use this throughout the day as a skin pick-me-up. 

Finally, my good side came out when I was asked at the till if I wanted to donate £1 to charity buy purchasing a sample size of this Hand and Body lotion. I definitely am not a fan of the scent, but it moisturises my hands well and I do like it lots for what it does.

So, that was my small Lush haul. I know I have done 2 haul posts in a row now, but you guys seem to like them and I also like to write them. I will have some reviews coming soon though!
