THE BODY SHOP CAMOMILE CLEANSERS

A few weeks back I started to run low of my Origins Clean Energy Cleansing Oil I was on the hunt for a replacement, as the price tag just wasn't selling a repurchase to me. Mum whipped out a £10 off body shop voucher so immediately I went and picked up two of their highly raved cleansing products.

The first was the Sumptuous Cleansing Butter, sort of like a balm. This one was £12 (but I only paid £2 and then the full price of the oil), for 90ml of product. I take this on dry skin and massage it in - it takes a matter of seconds to melt into an oil and then can take off all makeup (even waterproof) or just cleanses the skin really nicely if your makeup has already been removed. It's nourishing and just leaves my skin feeling clean, but by no means stripped.

The second offering is that of the Silky Cleansing Oil. This is quite a light consistency for an oil, not thick at all and one pump or so can cleanse my whole face - I did use waaaay to much the first use, but you get used to using the correct amount. This can remove all traces of waterproof makeup too, and seems to leave my skin feeling plumped and nourished too. This costs £10 for 200ml so is realy quite a good value product.

I was wary these would break me out as lots of new cleansers I try seem to do, but these actually have left me with no problems as it stands. I'm impressed, and could see these being repurchased in the future...

BALANCE ME RADIANCE FACE OIL

I have always been interested in facial oils, but they either seem to be out of my price range, have things like mineral oil in them, or just don't stand out to me. That was until I received the Balance Me Radiance Face Oil* a week or two back, and I think it's love.

This is one of those products that is hyped and coveted by multiple bloggers (as is a Pai offering), and I genuinely wanted to see what the fuss was about, and honestly - I really get it. First thing first, this mini 10ml rollerball style packaging is not only great for travelling and means for easy application, it is adorable too.

Just a few drops covers the face entirely, which is a huge plus - (I tend to run the rollerball over my fingertips and then pat it onto my face). It smells very natural, perhaps due to its '100% natural origin'. It sits on the skin for a little while, but don't be alarmed - it isn't heavy in the slightest and soaks in leaving plumped skin. Even when you first put it on it just seems to look radiant.

Since using this, I definitely feel like my skin looks healthier and actually a few of my pesky scarring marks from previous breakouts (and when I say previous, I mean from a while ago and I had given up hope of getting rid of to be fair), have actually faded quite substantially. I like to use this regularly in a light application under my night cream, and then maybe once a week I go in a little heavier for an intense moisture boost sans the moisturiser.

Honestly, I think once this rollerball is done with I may have to go and get myself a full size...

MERUMAYA MELTING CLEANSING BALM

I am always buying new cleansers, but recently I have been into trying more oils and balms, and with one of my New Year's beauty resolutions being to purchase a cleansing balm, I was excited to see this mini of the Merumaya Melting Cleansing Balm* came through my letter box to give it a try.

So, this is a pretty thick balm like texture as you squeeze it out, and as you massage it into your skin, it melts down into an oil-like texture which emulsifies makeup really easily, and with a bit of water and a flannel your face feels so clean and plump after. This balm really nourishes the skin, but still doesn't leave too much of a residue on the skin.

For simply cleansing the skin rather than removing makeup, this does a great job too. It is really nice to rub in and just feels luxurious on the skin. I recently saw that Essie Button did a post on this a week or so ago, and she really likes it, and when one of my favourite bloggers likes a product, I know it is a good'un!

The full size of this is £14.50 so is no Emma Hardie price, which I think is nice to see on the market. You never know, I might buy myself the full size at some point....

 

SCHWARZKOPF GOT2B OIL-LICIOUS TAME AND SHINE HAIR OIL

Everyday, at school, I will sit in assembly and stare at the 'split ends' I am oh-so paranoid about. No matter how frequently I get my hair cut, because it is so thick, it often feels dry and I get a little panicky about having split ends. Everyone tells me I don't, and Megan even got me this Schwarzkopf got2b Oil-Licious Tame and Shine Hair Oil probably to stop me banging on about my ends, haha. 

So, basically, this oil is meant to absorb instantly, leave your hair shiny and smooth, and also tame any 'wild' hair. I think it is safe to say (for me anyway), this does just that. I even used this while blow drying yesterday - something I rarely do, but I had to out to the supermarket with my mum and my hair was dripping, and boy, did it make my hair soft.

It has argan oil in it, which is an ingredient everyone has been going a bit cray about over the past year or so, and I can definitely see why. After using this oil, I just want to flip my hair luscious locks all over the place like I'm in an advert. It smells incredible too, but I can't put my finger on the scent.

If you haven't tried this... why not? At a budget price, with high claims and high quality, it is worth a shot whatever your hair type (or maybe a last minute stocking stuffer!)

DHC DEEP CLEANSING OIL REVIEW

During these past few weeks, some strange reaction is going on in my body making me love oil cleansers, and I have been craving all of the expensive balms. This is the DHC Deep Cleansing Oil, and I have been currently loving it, and so... what better to do, than sing it's praises in a blog post? I never used to like this, but now, we are the greatest of friends... DHC Do you accept my apology? 

This is the smallest size, of 30ml, costing £4.50, which is kind of pricey, with the full 200ml retailing for £21.50, so this isn't exactly high street pricing, nor high end, somewhere in between. I must say though, a few drops goes a long way. 

You can use this to remove makeup, by applying it onto your dry, makeup full, face, and massaging it in, and then wiping it away with a warm washcloth. Sometimes it feels a bit odd the first few times, and you are left with a film over your eyes blurring vision, so instead, I much prefer to use this after removing makeup (still on a dry face), and really massage it into the skin as a normal cleanser. It feels extremely luxurious when rubbing it in, and although I have combination skin, it doesn't feel too heavy, nor does it leave any residue. With all oil/balm cleansers, your skin isn't going to feel squeaky clean, which I don't like anyway, but instead, it feels plumped and nourished. 

At the moment, this has become one of my favourite night time cleansers, and maybe it will make its way onto the skincare shelf very shortly, as shown in my last post.
